Each diamond assessed by IAG is laser-inscribed at the girdle with an identification number or carat weight recorded at the IAG Registry. Laser inscription provides an easy and convenient way to identify your diamond. It is also a proof of ownership in the event of loss or theft.

Semi-conductor Red Laser Technologies® are used to inscribe the identification number on the diamond. This technology eradicates any risk of damage during the inscription process as 100% of laser energy is absorbed by the diamond and does not penetrate the diamond’s surface.
